About Chef Doug

Born on a warm September's day in a small town along the New Jersey shore, Doug O'Neil's first memories were of his parents trading giant zucchinis grown in the family garden for day old blue fish caught by one of the neighbors. Thus begins his culinary journey in life devoted to transforming the nearly inedible into culinary masterpieces.

In addition to a BA in English from Susquehanna University, Doug is a culinary graduate of Chicago's Kendall College. He has a certification from the American Culinary Federation. He has also worked in with some of the finest Chefs in Chicago.

Doug has been cooking and making his own hot sauces for nearly 25 years. He has won awards in culinary competitions.

Currently he lives with his fiancé and two cats in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago. When not in the kitchen, he enjoys spending time with his two kids, going to the beach and reading.
